Hey y’all! If you saw my Instagram Stories this morning you know I promised to recreate the bridesmaid makeup look I did this weekend for my friend’s wedding, and link everything on the blog! Quick recap: I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend, and we did our own makeup so I went full glam and it was so much fun to create! We were so busy during the wedding that I really didn’t get a chance to get a good photo of the bridesmaid makeup look while I was there, so I recreated it this morning and took photos!
Bridesmaid Makeup Look Tutorial
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 1: Prime
This first thing I always do is put this primer on my skin. It’s expensive but I’ve used it for years and it’s the best. It makes my face so matte and poreless.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 2: Foundation
I always use this makeup sponge [don’t forget to get it damp before you use it] to apply my foundation. I actually used this CC cream in shade Medium for my foundation because it’s so long-lasting and I needed this to last through an entire wedding! It usually takes about 1 1/4 pumps for my entire face.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 3: Concealer
I applied this concealer in shade Light Sand to my under eyes, along my jawline, and in the middle of my forehead [it’s an amazing concealer, but it is drying. If you have dry skin I suggest using a different one]. I then blend it all in with the same sponge I used for my foundation and then set it with this powder. This powder is super hydrating, so it balances out the dryness of the concealer.
While the powder is setting on my face, I do my eyebrows with this pencil in shade Midnight Brown. It’s the same pencil I’ve used since high school. I’ve tried other brow products, but always go back to the old fashioned pencil.
After this step, I do my first spray of setting spray all over my face. This is the key to getting the makeup to stay put all day. Multiple sprays throughout the makeup routine.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 4: Bronzer & Contour
Next, I use this bronzer on my cheeks and then I go up my face all the way to my cupids bow right next to my hairline. After this, I use this bronzing powder in shade Casino to contour under my cheeks and my nose. This powder is a little bit shiny which I love, but some like a more matte contour. I would use a different contour shade if you don’t like to add more shine to your skin.
After this step, we do another spritz of the setting spray all over the face.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 5: Eyes
First I started by putting this primer all over my lids. I then used two different palettes and one single eyeshadow for my eyeshadow.
Below I’ve listed the shade and where I put it. If you click on the shade it will send you to the link of which palette it’s from!
All over: Fresh
Crease and Outer V: Sable [also used to line my bottom lash line]
Middle: Steampunk
Inner Corner: Platinum [putting a light glitter here makes the whites of your eyes and teeth brighter!]
I then used this liquid liner on my lid.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 6: Lashes
For my lashes I used these lashes [AMAZING. As long as you trim them down to your correct eye size, I couldn’t even feel these when they were on] and this lash glue [My ride or die. Make sure you wait until the glue is tacky to put the lashes on your lid. That’s the easiest way to apply lashes with the least amount of headache].
I then used this mascara [waterproof of course, because it’s a wedding and I cry like a baby always].
After the mascara is dry, I then spray my face one last time with setting spray.
Bridesmaid Makeup Step 7: Lips
For lips I have been loving this lip liner in the shade Ever [on sale for $3!!]. I put it all over my lips, not just on the outside. Then I used this lipstick in the shade Born With It. It’s such a great everyday combo. I wear them all the time!
And voila! That’s my bridesmaid makeup. It took me about half an hour to apply it all.
