Hey, Y’all! As a lot of you saw on my Instagram stories, I was unfortunately laid off. Because of this, I’ve had quite a bit of extra time on my hands! Lol. We’ve been doing so many house projects, and one of my main goals was to spruce up the front yard! I’m still working on the garden, but we painted the front door and got a new storm door as well. I’ll post a pic once it’s totally completed! I wanted a new pretty front door wreath, but the specific look I wanted is so expensive! So since I have so much extra time I decided to make one myself. I figured I’d share for anyone who also has some extra time on their hands and wants a cheap, easy DIY! 😍
Easy DIY Wreath Tutorial
Supplies:
18in Grapevine Wreath
Fake Flowers (I used two Hydrangeas)
Fake Greenery (I used three)
Burlap Ribbon (I used 1.5in)
Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue Sticks
Quick heads up: I bought my fake flowers at Walmart. They don’t have them online, but they’re cheaper than Michael’s!
How To:
The first thing you want to do is arrange everything WITHOUT GLUE. Arrange the greenery first. I cut up the greenery into smaller pieces and arranged them all around the left side facing up on the top and facing down on the bottom side. I left about 4in of space in the middle for the flowers and the bow. The flowers will overlap the greenery.
Then, add the two hydrangeas on top and make sure everything looks even. Once you’re satisfied with how it looks, glue down the greenery and then the hydrangeas. I just added some glue to the spots touching the wreath as anchor points.
Lastly, tie the bow around the hydrangeas. I just did a super simple shoe tie bow. Then hot glue the back of the ribbon to the back of the wreath.
I saved a video of how I put it together on my Insta stories and on Tik Tok (username: @clarissa.iraci) if you’re more of a visual person!
And Joila! Super easy and costs around $30.
Have y’all been crafting during quarantine?? I would love to know what you’ve been creating. Comment below!
