Hi, friends. Today’s post is a little different, a little more personal, than usual. This past weekend, I lost my very first friend. The woman who helped raise me. The woman who made me strong, and never afraid to say how I feel. I lost my grandma. She was the strongest person I ever met, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without her.
So today’s post is for her. The strongest person I ever met.
Today, I want to talk about being willing to be who you are without self-doubt or apology. I don’t know about you, but every day I put out a new blog post, or post something on Instagram, I question myself. If my post is “good enough”, or how people will perceive what I’m putting out there in the world. And ya’ll, I can’t live like this anymore. So I’ve decided, if I love it, and I’m passionate about it, I’m going to share it! We live in this world where every aspect of our lives is judged through the lens of someone’s iPhone, so we might as well let everyone judge us on the things we love most. I challenge you to live your life today with no self-doubt. Whatever you’re unsure of doing in your life, go do it, put 100% into it, and love every minute of the challenge.
I’m challenging myself every day, to share what I love. My passion for expressing myself through my clothing. And maybe you don’t know what your passion is yet, but I see no reason to hold yourself back from finding whatever it is that could set you free.
Live your life without fear of the future, or fear of judgment. I live my life this way because that’s how my grandma would have wanted me to, and I know she’s looking down on me right now pissed as heck that I’m crying while writing this, but she truly made such a large impact on my life. The way she loved the people around her, and the way she did what she wanted without fear of scrutiny.
