Hey, y’all! Every once and a while I love to come on here and do a round up of random things from around the internet and the real world that I’m currently loving!
Loving Lately: Fall Favorites Edition
1.Murder Mystery Podcasts
Okay, it’s nothing new that I’m obsessed with true crime, but with it finally being spooky season I’ve started so many new murder podcasts. Most recently I’ve been obsessed with celebrity stories. What got me started on this kick was the podcast Fatal Voyage. I binged season 1 that covered the death of Natalie Wood, and now I’m listening to season 2 on Princess Diana. Both are such interesting stories to listen to, and although both were deemed accidents, the podcast host brings information to light that might suggest otherwise in both cases!
Another great one I just finished is Cover-Up which chronicles Ted Kennedy’s Chappaquiddick accident, and the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. That one was also super interesting to listen to because of how many conspiracy theories there are surrounding the case.
Another one I’m also listening to right now is The Killing Of Marylin Monroe. They do a really great job of outlining her life and struggles that lead up to her death. This podcast is currently airing, so I listen to it weekly when new episodes come out. The story is building toward evidence that she was actually murdered and didn’t kill herself, so I’ve been on the edge of my seat every week waiting for the new episode!
2. Halloween Themed Clothing
If you couldn’t tell by the shear amount of fall posts I have up already, I’m OBSESSED with the next 4 months of the year. Halloween kicks it all off, and I’ve actually decided to do Halloween themed outfits on the blog once a week in October! I’ve found so many cute outfits, y’all. And none of them are costumes. Like real life can wear out to do errands clothes. I actually posted a Halloween inspired look to Instagram yesterday because I couldn’t wait till October to start! One of my new favorite websites to shop from is Unique Vintage. They have the cutest and quirkiest holiday themed pieces! I just got my order in, and I’m so excited to style them.
Another great place to shop for Halloween pieces is ModCloth. Stay tuned because I’ve have some really fun outfits coming to the blog with pieces from these shops and more in October!
3. iPhone 11
I haven’t bought a new phone in a very long time, and Verizon had a really good deal going on for the newest iPhone, so I bit the bullet and finally upgraded to the iPhone 11 [I got the one with two lenses]. I really wasn’t expecting the photo quality to be that big of a difference, but holy smokes guys this thing takes the most amazing photos. Like better than my DSLR. I’m so happy I upgraded. The phone’s capabilities otherwise aren’t really that exciting to me other than the fact that this one lasts more than two hours on a charge lol.
4. The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook
I bought this cookbook last year, but when I was living with my mom I didn’t cook very much, so it didn’t get used. Now that it’s fall, I made the Shepard’s Pie recipe from here and omg it’s so good. I can’t wait to make pumpkin pasties and all of the other recipes from one of my favorite book series! Plus, what screams holiday season more than Harry Potter!? I’m also re-listening to the series on audiobook right now as well. If you haven’t consumed this series through audiobook I highly recommend it! Jim Dale is the narrator and he is insane! His voice acting is better than anything else I’ve ever listened to. I’m currently on book 3 and it helps pass the time so well while I work.
