Hey, y’all! Today I wanted to share all my tips for what to pack for Disneyland! I’ve gone at least once a month for the last 6 years, so I’ve gotten really efficient with what I bring with me. I only bring what is absolutely necessary so I’m not lugging around a ton of extra stuff all day.

Packing Essentials For A Day At Disneyland
Comfy Shoes & A SweatShirt
Outfits are a big part of my Disney trips. I love dressing cute, but usually, my cute shoes aren’t comfortable enough to wear all day. I wear my cute shoes for photos and then change into my comfy shoes for the rest of the day. My favorite brand is this one. They are really the best sneakers!
Another thing I always have with me is a sweatshirt. California nights are weird because it’s scorching hot all day and it gets pretty chilly at night. I always wear layers and keep a sweatshirt with me so I don’t end up having to buy one later [although, I do love my Disney Spirit Jersey].
A Sundries Bag With The Essentials
I always keep a sundries bag in my purse no matter where I’m going, but I have very specific items I bring just for Disney!
Here’s my list:
Hand Sanitizer
I love this all-natural hand sanitizer. It’s safe and effective. And we all know how necessary hand sanitizer is at a theme park.
Powder Touch Up Sunscreen
This stuff is so good for touching up makeup and adding another layer of sunscreen on your face during the day. Just make sure to wait until after you take photos to apply it though. You don’t want sunscreen flashback!
Anti – Chafing Balm
Y’all if you’re a curvier girl like me, wearing anything but leggings all day at a theme park can create the kind of chub rub that will haunt you for weeks after. This stuff SAVES MY LIFE. I love wearing dresses, but for all day it can be really hard to not become uncomfortable. I reapply it usually during bathroom breaks to the inside of my legs, and it keeps me from chafing! I also just saw someone post about these shorts that I just purchased and am going to try on my next Disney trip! They look like they’d work great for chub rub!
Chapstick
This one may seem obvious, but the worst thing that can happen is being uncomfortable at a theme park. Whether it be leg chafing or chapped lips. I like to keep myself covered.
Sunscreen
If you’ve ever gotten excited to go anywhere you know how easy it is to forget this important tip. I know I have! Then you get to the end of the day with a farmer’s tan and the glow of a lobster. This might be the most important part! Y’all know I always talk about this sunscreen. It’s my all time favorite!
A Fuel Rod
Ok. This thing is LIFE CHANGING. Probably my favorite Disney hack to date. A Fuel Rod is a phone charger you can buy from multiple kiosks inside the park. When you purchase it [it’s $30], you receive the charger, cords for all different types of phones, and a cord to charge the charger. But the best part of this is the fact that throughout the day you can exchange your Fuel Rod when it runs out of juice from any kiosk in the park for one that’s fully charged! So no matter what you can keep your phone charged all day. I love this because I used to bring my own portable charger, but you’d only get one or two charges out of it. This way everyone in your group can keep a well-charged phone all day! Check out all of the kiosk locations HERE.
A Water Bottle & Snacks
I bring this up in every Disney post because every time I mention bringing your own food and drinks to Disneyland, people are shocked that you’re allowed to. Well, I’m here to remind you that you can and you should! There are drinking fountains all over the park to refill your water bottle, and I love having snacks on hand if you get hungry waiting in lines.
